Here's Rich's Christmas light tree. He used the trunk of our tree out front, somehow attached the lights to the tree and the ground. The star on the tree is just a wadded up glob of lights. It's artistic, yet hideous.
As you can see, he strung lights up over the bushes on the left side of the window and ignored the bushes on the right side of the window. What? They don't deserve lights?
To top it all off, the lights are on some kind of psychedelic, LSD, seizure - esque flashing rotation. He starts out slow and gradually builds to a frantic flash pace. If you stare too long, you just might go blind.

We were standing in the Walmart parking lot and could hear the sound of their engines. We sped over to the beach and caught the end of one of the races.
The helicopters were following the boats through the course. It was scary how low they got at times!
Here are some of the pictures I got.

The gulf is rough again today, lots of wind creating some great waves to hear and watch.
Here are some shots from this morning. The surfer dudes were out hangin' 10 early today!

We got in the condo this afternoon. It was nice here, 75 degrees but windy as heck. Also just a hint of the sun from time to time. The gulf was super rough. There were some surfer guys out trying to catch a wave. We watched them from our balcony.
Here are some of today's pictures:

We're having a great time! They are predicting thunderstorms tomorrow. I hope I get to see a good thunderstorm roll in over the water. Some lightning strikes into the ocean would make for some great pictures. I'll keep my fingers crossed and keep you posted!
More later.....

Went out to Bo's yesterday, he wasn't there....but the dogs were happy to see us. Especially my good ol Tugger boy. He sat when I told him to and waited patiently for me to give him some love. I love that ol boy Tuggers. He's a big black lab looking dog. He's sturdy as he can be and a sweetheart of a pup. Guess I better take a picture of him sometime.
Anyway, it was a pretty fall day so I snapped a few pictures. Here they are.
I call this one "Nesting Among Berries" - but they are actually crabapples I think.

Have you heard about the joke that's turned somewhat serious? Some guy started a website saying Oprah should run for President. Well, of course, Oprah's loyal following jumped all over that bandwagon! Now, they think she should actually run!
Check out the official If Oprah Was President Theme Song. Oh it's a beauty! You'll be amazed by the talent, you may even shed a tear or two at the thought provoking lyrics!

Mom and Dad have finally decided to keep Chancy and put a fence around the back yard. Chancy has never been off a leash - the people who had her before just put on out on a leash hooked to a clothes line. So she has no idea what it's like to be free. With a fence she will be able to run and play and have a great time.
So my baby sister gets to stay!!!! Yea!!!!!!!!!!!
