What's with the continued half mast thing? I'm all for honoring our Presidents when they move on to the "other side" but enough is enough already.

Is there some "fly the flag half mast for a month" rule or what?

I'm over it.

B said the exact same thing Yesterday, almost word 4 word.

I think a month is way too long even for a president.

The President has to declare when and how long the flag will be at half mass. For Ford, he declared the flag should be at half mass for 30 days. I don't know when that's up though..

Once a Presidential funeral is being televised, I'm all over it. I just can't make myself change the channel. I watched that dang thing for 6 days straight!

You should've known we could count on s-hooks to know something about this!!! You're the only person I know to ask about politics...or even the current news for that matter.

Living with no cable, and no newspaper is frustrating sometimes, but I also feel like I don't worry as much as other people over things I can't control.

Some people might call it ignorant bliss....whatever you call it, I'm not worried all the time. I don't even like to see the obituaries in the paper....they make me crazy...i've talked to a good majority of those people at some time or another.

OK I'm done ranting!!!

Yes, I'm the same way. Sometimes, I get really freaked out after I've watched too much news and I have to take a break from it.
