In looking through a book I hadn't picked up in quite some time, (thank you Jean for reminding me) I found a great little poem that I had forgotten all about.

I've found a little remedy
To ease the life we live
And make each day a happier one---
It is the word 'forgive'.

So often little things come up
That leave a pain and sting,
That covered up at once would not
Amount to anything.

'Tis when we hold them up to view,
And brood and sulk and fret,
They greater grow before our eyes;
'Twere better to forget.

I think I need to print this out and post it at work. There is definitely some forgiving that needs to be taken care of. People hold grudges around here like it's high school or something.....

Yeah I know what you mean, AlliGal.

It's so much work to be mad for extended periods of time. Guess I'm just too lazy for that. And what the heck good does it gain anyway?

I'm sending it to my sister. She holds grudges for a long time.

Dang! Forgiving heck!
What about the sweetness of revenge well plotted and executed?
Huh?

Like when the dogs were pissing the trash can all the time.
I tied used, worn out flashlight batteries to the trash can and waited.
With glee and much handrubbing did I giggle an evil giggle in the dark....
here comes a dog, now....
walks up to the can.....
sniffs.....
leg going up....
no, wait. He stops. Then he slides over to where I stand, and then the sound...DANG!
Dog pist on m'leg!

I'll get you for this!
...and he began plotting his next move right then....
