Finally the State of Indiana recognized it needed to declare an Official State Pie.
It's about darn time don't you think? Let's get down to real business here folks. The State of Indiana has gone far too long without an Official State Pie. Sure we could have picked apple or maybe even pumpkin. We can grow both fruits here, right? (bet ya didn't know the pumpkin is both a fruit and a vegetable did ya?)
NO! Not good enough for the discerning palate of sophisticated Hoosiers. We know what's better than a boring ol apple or pumpkin pie.
Our State picked the world's most succulent, sweet, creamy, melt in your mouth, delicious piece of lusciousness that you'll ever taste!

AWESOME NEWS! Excellent selection.
When the subject of state pies comes up in conversations, people will say something like "Hey, you know what pie I like?...sugar cream, who's state pie is that? re: Indiana's. Dang, those Hoosiers sure know pies."
Great blog! A+
Sure wish I had a slice right about now....dang!
I think I'm the only weirdo in the world that doesn't like sugar cream pie!!
LOL-I'm with you, Allison!! Although, I was afraid to admit it until now!
I'm sorry to be the one to tell ya, Alligal and SHooks have to be kicked out of the Hoosier state.
....because "those Hoosiers sure know pies"....as previously stated. You two, out.
well, in all honesty, there aren't too many places where you can get a good piece of sugar cream pie.
One of the last ones was the Bluebird Restaraunt in Morristown, way east on 52.
