Another fun Christmas--I just wish I had more time to spend with y'all!

I'd love to have the Simmons Family Christmas on different day so it could be an all day thing rather than a 2 hour thing.

I totally vote for that! The Saturday before or after Christmas works for me. Christmas is when you make it!!

Wow! That would be pretty nice!

Now we just need to convince everyone else. I know my whole family has said we'd like that.

Craig's down.

He doesn't like having to rush in and out on Christmas Day either.

I think the person we would have to convince is Grammy. She loves Christmas day.

Yeah...what would Grammy do on Christmas Day? We did Thanksgiving the weekend before the holiday with Ryan's family, and it worked out really well.

I know it would work out better for a lot of people, so my vote is yes. I just hate to break tradition.....

I know Grammy loves seeing all the family on Christmas but she's exhausted and all the commotion drives her crazy, just ask her.

We could all agree to go visit throughout the day on Christmas day - without bombarding her. If we staggered in throughout the day she'd see us all and we wouldn't overwhelm her. To be honest, It think it would be a huge relief for her to just sit in her chair and have us trickle in throughout the day.

She told me her birthday celebration about killed her. I don't think we realize how tiring it is for her to be around a big gang anymore. She told me she "hung up" on John and Liz when they called and she was about to hang up on me too. It was funny but she was partially serious.

It'll still be Christmas day just on a different day and we all get to see each other for a longer period of time.

Of course we'll do whatever everyone decides but I think this is a win, win.

You're right, Andrea. I do know that she tires out and the commotion makes her crazy. If we could all make time to go see her through the day she would probably like that. I think that sounds like it would work out well.

Here's an idea....we all get together before the holdiay to exchange presents, play games and have fun. Then on Christmas day just get together to eat, sit around a couple of hours and leave?

Does that defeat the purpose?

lol I don't know, maybe?
