Have any of you been downtown recently? Did you take time to check out the new Lucas Oil Stadium? It's HUGE and dwarfs the RCA dome!!
Construction is really coming along, I thought you might like taking a sneak peek inside. Check out this video: http://our2012sb.com:80/

Took these pics around the yard today.
I love spring!!
Mr Busy Bee at work on a Redbud Tree
(see him on the lower branch?)
Blossoms on the tree in my backyard
(no idea what kind of tree this is but it blooms like crazy every spring)
Anyone know what kind of tree this?
Red Bud blossoms are pretty from a distance
and even prettier close up

PRAYING FOR TIME
These are the days of the open hand
They will not be the last
Look around now
These are the days of the beggars
And the choosers
This is the year of the hungry man
Whose place is in the past
Hand in hand
With ignorance
And legitimate excuses
The rich declare themselves poor
And most of us are not sure
If we have too much
But we'll take our chances
Because God stopped keeping score
I guess somewhere along the way
He must have let us all out to play
Turned his back and all God's children
Crept out the back door
And it's hard to love
There's so much to hate
Hanging on to hope
When there is no hope to speak of
And the wounded skies above
Say it's much too late
Well maybe we should all be
Praying for time
This is the year of the empty hand
Oh you hold on to what you can
And charity
Is a coat you wear
Twice a year
These are the days of the guilty man
Your television takes a stand
And you find
That what was over there
Is over here
So you scream from behind your door
Say what's mine is mine and not yours
I may have too much
But I'll take my chances
Because God stopped keeping score
They will not be the last
Look around now

And the choosers

But I'll take my chances
Because God stopped keeping score
And you cling to the things
They sold you
Did you cover your eyes when
They told you
That He can't come back
Because He has no children
To come back for
And it's hard to love
When there's so much to hate
Hanging on to hope

In The New York Times September 16, 1990, George Michael is quoted regarding this song: "No event inspired the song. It's my way of trying to figure out why it's so hard for people to be good to each other. I believe the problem is conditional as opposed to being something inherent in mankind. The media has affected everybody's consciousness much more than most people will admit. Because of the media, the way the world is perceived is as a place where resources and time are running out. We're taught that you have to grab what you can before it's gone. It's almost as if there isn't time for compassion."

I've been challenged by Boneman to write my memoir in 6 short words (and include a photo)!
It's NOT easy. Six words? Come on. (Now you all know I want "I told you I was sick" on my tombstone. That's 6 words but not exactly my memoir, right?)
Ok, so, I was thinking about it. Not including work but just me, who I am, what I like to do. What might people remember about me? Hopefully that I loved to laugh. And that I took sarcasm very seriously. But also that I loved taking pictures and recording little moments in time, even if it was a pretty sunset at the end of the day - those are the things that really made me smile in my life.

So, here it is. My 6 word memoir:
Happily photographing all of life's treasures
So now I must challenge you - as Bo's rules state. I must pick 6 of you and have you do the same.
Sorry, you've been selected :

- Allison
- Sarah
- Jenny

- Olivia
Good luck, I know it's not easy but I look forward to seeing yours!

Don't you hate it when you stand in the fruit section, carefully inspecting every apple for bruises, picking only the apples you know are not marred in anyway only to have the cashier pick them up, slam them on the scale and carelessly toss them down the conveyor brusing not one, but all of them!
Eeeeeuuuuu that makes me mad!
