Does anyone remember that vanilla ice cream flavored gum they used to sell? It came in a white package and I think it had blue letters on it (right Rosie)?

I remember buying it at Woodys, when Woody's was in a little converted house on the corner of Dixon and Sycamore. Most of you may be too young to remember when Woody's was there.

Man that stuff was good! Real good! I think they had root beer and chocolate ice cream flavored. Maybe strawberry ice cream flavored.

I feel like I'm a million dollars in debt!

Rich and I bought the critically acclaimed movie, "Million Dollar Baby" based off of all the academy awards and nominations. We expected it to be great, wouldn't you?

What a great beginning. What a wonderful build-up. Next thing you know, you're shoved off of a cliff only to bounce continuously off jagged ridges until the thing finally ends.

Hey I thought Pollack sucked...but this one is even worse than POLLACK!

Keep your money folks. It's not even worth the rental price.

Ouch - my head still hurts.

A co-worker and I are trying to come up with the name of a new blog we want to write. It'll be focused on giving career advice of course.

We want a really snappy name for our blog. Maybe Career Chicks or One Stop Job Shop, or Jobs R Us, or ??? These are just off the top of my head. There used to be a show on the Food Network called Two Fat Ladies....NO, I don't want to be Two Fat Career Chicks, but would consider Two Career Chicks.

So you see, I need your help. Please provide any great snappy blog names you can think of for a career related blog. We'd consider anything catchy, snazzy and cool!

What's up with open toe season?

Ok maybe I'm just not a foot person or something but why is it in the summer, the people with the most hideous feet feel they must wear open toe shoes?

Don't you hate it when you see some worn down pair of sandals, feet hanging off one side and their ugly ol cracked heel sticking out the back? Or worse yet, the sandal is a size too small so their toes flood over the edge. Don't these folks have eyes?

People if you have to wonder "are my feet cute?" I got news for ya....THEY AREN'T!

Anti-ugly feet people stand up and shout AMEN!

Bake and Fill Rocks!

We tried the Bake and Fill cake thing today. Rich made a devils food cake. In the center he put in a layer of cool whip and a layer of chocolate pudding. Dude, it works!! Except all that sugar sent us into a sugar coma, but otherwise we really like that thing. We think it could be THE Christmas present this year. Who wouldn't want to bake and fill a cake?

Informercials and Rich

Had to go to Louisville last night for a conference today. So Melanie, Cathy and I took off last night and stopped at the outlet mall on our way down. Got Rich the "Betty Crocker Bake and Fill" cake pan he's been wanting since seeing the infomercial. Have you seen it? It's pretty cool. We'll let you know if it works!

Rich loves just about anything from an infomercial or home shopping channels. If it's on an infomercial, QVC or HSN - it's as good as sold. He wants

• that really expensive multi-position folding ladder
• the smart spin plastic spinning container thing
• the flip and grip AND the scoop and strain
• any giant knife set on HSN
• any coin set on HSN

As proof of his undying love for as sold on tv junk, here's a list of things we currently own:

• the gazelle (actually this was probably our best infomercial purchase)
• a cheaper version of the Bowflex
• the cold heat soldering thing
• space bags
• those microshaver things
• we bought Grammy the "Owl" credit card sized magnifying glass w/light

(there's probably more, but that's all I can think of)

GOOD ADVICE:
AMAZINGLY SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES

1. If you are choking on an ice cube, don't panic. Simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat and presto, the blockage will be almost instantly removed.

2. Clumsy? Avoid cutting yourself while slicing vegetables: get someone else to hold them while you chop away.

3. Avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting the toilet seat, by simply using the sink.

4. For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use a timer.

5. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.

6. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives: then you will be afraid to cough.
